Is Writing Letters To Get Your Ex Back Really A Good Idea
Is writing letters to get your ex back really a good idea? Some people like to write lots letters and messages every day. Many of these people resort to written communication when they are trying to get their ex back.
To be able to judge the effectiveness of regular written communication with their ex, you need to look at the good and the bad reasons for doing it.
The good reason is that you can express feelings that you otherwise have difficulty in communicating. It is often possible to write about matters that you are incapable expressing verbally. It is clear that if letters help you to communicate successfully, writing them is an excellent idea.
The bad reason for communicating by letter is to take advantage of their impersonal nature. When you have broken up over the phone or by sending a text message it is often because you didn’t have the courage to tell your ex to their face. The emotional strain of breaking up will show in your letter as you will be accusing them of doing the things they did or did not do. You will automatically come across as someone who has an axe to grind. If you are hoping to recover your ex I the future, a letter like this is never going to work for you. The only correct way to break up with someone is to tell them directly; the same goes for everything linked to a relationship
You’re ex likely knows that you find it difficult to say certain things. If you concentrate on learning how to improve your verbal communication, this is going to show you ex that you are making every effort to improve yourself. This is far more likely to impress them than any letter you may decide to write.
When you want to get your ex back the direct approach will not often succeed for you and letter writing is the direct approach. The closer you are to the break up, the higher will be the level of emotiback. After a little time, when you are both more lucid about why you broke up, a letter may enable you to express your feelings more clearly and objectively. At this point it may be a useful weapon to use in your quest to get your ex backons on both sides and the greater is the risk that your letter will not bring them.
The best advice, however, would be to take the indirect approach and try to be a friend of your ex in the first place and take things from there. This avoids having to write letters, but it is the solution that is more likely to bring the result you are looking for.
